Welcome to the Riverbank Historical Museum. Permission granted for this cache by the City Manager as a way to encourage others in the area to visit and check out the rich history! There is no charge to enter this facility and there is no commercial merchandise available for purchase.
Container is a large ammo can placed inside the museum with SWAG and a log pad for geocachers. There is a museum guest registration book for muggles nearby too. Container holds lots of city swag and travel bugs looking for a historical resting spot.
Riverbank Museum Hours of Operation:
Tuesdays 10-2 and Saturdays 10-2
Likely Closed around Holiday weekends as it is only staffed by volunteers. This Carnegie Library was built in 1921. In 1996, it was added to the National Historic Registry. There is a monument outside the museum that notes this event.
Cache difficulty of 4.5 is due to the limited hours of operation of the museum, manned by volunteers. Spend some time browsing their extensive collection of local artifacts and imagine what Riverbank was like almost a century ago!
