cache is located on an kind of island (identified for day use). the spot can only be reached by kayak or canoe. day use is allowed on the reservoir in limited numbers. you must sign in with the ranger. parking is first come first serve.
cache is located at one of our favorite swim spots on the reservoir. fun jump spots can be found on opposite ends of the "island". one end of the "island" my kids have named "the runway" (you will have to figure out for yourself why), the cashe is located off the path that connects both swim spots. the cashe is a waterproof rubbermaid surrounded by a couple of ziplock bags for good measure and it contents include several small rubber chickens, a log book and a camera to document your visit.
