The summer caching season will soon be over, but not the fun! All summer long you have collected Marshmallow Micros, each one named for a local cacher, now it is time to roast them; the marshmallows and the cachers!
Join us at Dry Creek Group Camp at WHISKEYTOWN LAKE on FRIDAY SEPT 18TH from 6:30 to 10:00pm. Bring a chair & whatever libation you prefer to drink, and we will bring the s'more fixin's.
We want this to be an informal meet & greet, but if you would like to share a geocaching adventure with the group or tell a funny story about a fellow cacher, feel welcome. We are awarding prizes for the most Marshmallows found & the most FTFs logged,as well as a few other suprises for those in attendance.
We are glad you have enjoyed our summer series, and have tried to include as many of our Shasta area cachers as time allowed. Hope nobody felt left out....and everyone is invited to celebrate at the Marshmallow roast.
This will be a family friendly event, so bring your geokids or grandkids. Though you will be responsible for wiping the gooey messes from their face. We will try to limit the sugar intake to 40 or 50 marshmallows per child .
We have reserved both group campsites for the night, so there will be plenty of room if you want to pitch a tent...email us for details. Unfortunately RV's are not allowed at the group campsites. If you choose to camp overnight and want to use your RV, you will need to reserve one of the park camp sites that accomodate RV's. The group site is paid for and no parking or day use fee is necessary within the Dry Creek group area.
Post a note if you plan to attend so we can round up enough roasting sticks. We genuinely look forward to seeing each and everyone of you there!!!
