Sloe path to Raglan Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

The Blorenges: This one's had a long life but as we're doing little geocaching these days and it's some distance from our home we've decided it's time to archive it. Thanks to all who've visited over the 13 years.

Geocache Description:

An stroll over a couple of fields, with two stiles and some nice views of the north side of Raglan castle. 6" x 4" x 2" click lock box.

For some long while we've been thinking that Raglan castle deserves a "viewpoint" cache so at last we've got round to placing this one. The castle is most commonly seen from the southern approach but this cache site gives you the view from the north.

The footpath is clear - the farmer has actually mowed the track way though his crop so when placing this cache we found ourselves wandering between 4ft high oilseed rape that had gone to seed.

The wonderful 15th century Raglan castle itself is under the care of CADW and is well worth a visit. There's plenty of historical information about it to be found on the Internet.
