The late Karl Edward Wagner, author and friend, was a master of terrifying fiction. His short story, "Sticks," is a modern classic of dark fantasy that inspired a particularly effective aspect of 1999's The Blair Witch Project.
At the coordinates listed above, you will find a strange, arcane symbol made from small sticks, hanging from a tree. In order to find the cache, you must follow an unspecified number of these constructs, placed an unspecified distance apart. You will know you have reached the final symbol because it is distinctly different from the others. Once you reach this symbol, you are within ten feet of the cache, which is a medium-sized, camo'd lock-n-lock box.
Please do not handle the stick symbols, for they are somewhat fragile and will become more so over time. Besides, handling the symbols without the proper mystical knowledge might call down from the stars the ghastly entity known as Nyarlathotep, the Messenger of the Great Old Ones, and if this should happen, well... I shudder to think.
Please park at the coordinates provided for the hiking/biking trail. Note: Although there is no specified closing time for the trail, seeing the stick symbols in daylight will be difficult enough, and I believe the neighbors will be more comfortable if you refrain from hunting the caches on this trail at night.
Congrats to Team Alb, FTF.
