CZ:Modlany byly zalozeny v roce 1328, vice o historii a soucasnosti najdete zde. Doporucuji podivat se tu na kostel sv. Apolinare, pamatnik dulniho nestesti a pamatnik obetem 1. svetove valky. Na SZ konci vsi najdete vodni nadrz.
Na JV konci vesnice lezi sportovni areal, kde hraje mistrovske zapasy mistni fotbalovy klub Banik Modlany. V dobe zalozeni cache je tak uspesny, ze pet ze sesti tymu od zaku do dospelych hraje krajske souteze (1.A tridu). V roce 2017 hraje A tym pravidelne Krajsky prebor Usteckeho kraje.

On south-east end of the village is sport center, where local football club Baník Modlany plays. At the time of the cache foundation is as successful as five of the six teams from pupils to adults are playing regional competition (Class 1A). In 2017 A-team plays regularly the highest competition of Usti nad Labem region.
