An der Fuscher Lacke, einem kleinen See, befindet sich ein original erhaltenes Straßenwärterhaus, in dem in einer Dokumentation die Geschichte der Errichtung der Straße und die damaligen Lebensumstände der Arbeiter gezeigt werden. (Zeitaufwand ca. 15-20 Minuten)
Ein Rundweg um die Fuscher Lacke lädt zu einer gemütlichen Kurzwanderung ein (Zeitaufwand ca. 10 Minuten). Für viele Besucher ist eine Rast beim "Mankeiwirt" an der Fuscher Lacke „ein Muss“.

The “Building of the Road” exhibition impressively presents the interesting history of the building of the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. A circuit trail around the picturesque Fuscher Lacke complements this area of sensory experience on open terrain.
New! The “Building of the Road” children’s playground. Children can themselves experience in a playful way what a tremendous pioneering feat the so-called “Glockner Baraber”, as the workers were then known, achieved in the building of the road from 1930 to 1935.
