Bertrand Point Traditional Cache
askcrm.com: I am just returning to Geocaching after more than 10 years away from it. The home this cache was located close to has been sold and I cannot get to the area to maintain it, so I am archiving it. It is a beautiful location and I hope someone creates a new cache here at some point. Thank you to those who have visited it and maintained it in my absence.

Drive all the way to the end of River Road. Park and grab a fun little cache with a beautiful view.
Bertrand Point is a beautiful view at the very end of the peninsula near our vacation home. We've found a few caches in our area, but none in the last several miles of our peninsula, so we're going to try to add several over the coming months.
This cache will take you all the way to the end of River Road and to the very end of our peninsula. Walk out on the dock and you will be looking at the mouth of the Corrotoman River as it empties into the mouth of the Rappahanock River. In the distance, you will see a bridge that crosses the Rappahanock just before it empties into the Chesapeake Bay.
Enjoy the beautful dock, and take special note of the two nearby trees at the very end of River Road. This is off the ground and safe from any potential tidal changes, in a small plastic "beach box". The point is often quiet and private though there may be the occasional fisherman or tourist. If you take anything, please remember to replace it.
