Geocache Description:

Located in Pioneer Cemetery

When the cemetery was first laid out or the first burial is unknown. It was laid out by Josiah Wade, the first settler of the town, sometime before 1840, and within its borders, he still sleeps beneath the briars and the bushes with his grave unmarked.
James W. Redkey in whose honor the town of Redkey was named is buried here. (Various other names "Lick-Skillet," Grab All," "Buzzard's Roost," & "Mt. Vernon,")
An organization was formed after James Redkey bought the land from W. H. Wade and discovered the burial grounds, thus the following certificate was put on record:
This certificate the Samuel Hesser, Thomas J. Mitchell, G. W. Current, Edmond W. Beckman and Samuel J. Current was duly elected as trustees for the Mount Vernon burying ground, January 26, 1857. John L. Fiers, President and James Redkey, Secretary.

My first time hiding a cache. It should be an easy find.
