The original cache (GCZQE7) had to be archived when the area was closed off while Tshwane Parks were cleaning it up and fencing it off.
Team Cabey were in the park finding another cache. We wondered whether the old one was still there and it was. The location is no longer viable and Team Gecko now live in the Western Cape, but we thought that the cache concept was still good. So after discussion with Team Gecko and Fish Eagle we determined that the old cache could not be unarchived and that we should re-plant it so that everyone can find it as it is a new container and a new spot.
So we upgraded the container to a bigger box and moved it to a new location that still has a great view of the Waterkloof Air Force Base runways.

The official times are:
- May to August: 07:00-17:00
- September to April: 06:00-18:00
It is suggested that cachers visit this area during week-ends, when the gate is manned by an official of Tshwane Nature Conservation. During week days, it’s unlocked by a private resident who might not always be available.
The original cache had a great number of sunset photos and views over the AFB and we hope to see photos of planes landing and taking off in your logs.
The cache is planted with the knowledge and permission of the appropriate Tshwane Parks Official.
