You can drive within a few meters of the cache. You drive along highway 52 until you pass a building that says "Smell Inn" on the right. Take a right on a dirt road after you've passed this place. You will know that you have the right road if you see a stream on the left and pass a dirt bike track. Good Luck and happy hunting!
We come to Iceland every year to visit this beautiful country and spend time with out grandmother or Amma. Amma lives in Akranes which is the town you see when you are looking out from this cache spot. She is a strong woman whom we love very much, which is why we decided to place this cache in her honor. Towards the water you can see Snæfellsjökull glacier, which is amazing sight if the light is just right. If you have time, you can even walk along the hiking trail up Akrafjall to find hidden waterfalls and a beautiful bird´s eye view of the Icelandic coast and countryside! We hope you enjoy this beautiful place as much as we do.. Eg Elska þig Amma Min!
