This is a roadside cache located in the Vredefort Dome. This cache is dedicated to our daughter Bea, to remind her to always see the stars and to appreciate nature…

2 Billion years ago, a meteorite of about 10 kilometers in diameter hit planet Earth at a velocity of 150 000 kilometers’ per hour forming a crater in the order of 300 km in diameter. The Vredefort Dome indeed qualifies being the second oldest, largest and most deeply eroded complex meteorite impact structure in the world and is UNESCO world heritage site.
