SQ - "PowWow" Mystery Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The SQ in the cache name above signifies Spirit Quest, a project to distinguish those caches that are set in cemeteries or memorial gardens. This is a good distinction to put on this type of cache and is a good idea to be used here in Michigan. Please be respectful of the area, and observe their rules and posted hours, Michigan law states that you are only permitted to visit cemeteries dawn to dusk through out the state unless other hours are posted
PowWow is a beautiful 30 square meter sailboat belonging to the late CW (Willie) Smith. Willie was probably one of the top sailors who belonged to the Port Huron Yacht Club. Willie and PowWow amassed a record 28 years of series 1st place awards. She still is racing under sons Chuck and Jeff.
In order to log this as a find you must locate Willie's grave.
The cache is at 43 00.ABC
82.33.DEF
Where ABC is CW's age at death plus 40. DEF is his boats sail number minus 3246.
If you have not found James Vincent GCQBN9 placed by the master cache placer Sistrurus you might begin it at the same time. James Vincent will take you away from Kinney Cemetery and on a merry chase.
