Geocache Description:

Another cache to add to those in the area. This one showing different perspective and panorama.

You can park at Groomsport Harbour to go straight to this cache, but why not start at Ballyholme and work your way round the coast ticking off all the other caches on route to this one.

This little cache is hidden on an island and is safely approached up to one hour before or after high water, so be careful not to get caught out on the island. If you do, dont panic, you could wade back to shore with the water no higher than wellie boot height. A little forplanning and good outdoor sense should see you ok. Check out the tides on the following website:
(visit link)

Add 10 minutes for high water Bangor.

Once you have crossed onto the Island travel round to the right. The cache is hidden behind a large rock on the seaward side of this island. Please take care to carefully replace out of sight. Enjoy the cache and dont forget to sign the log.

Now take a moment to look at your location, from here you can see clearly the lighthouses of Blackhead and the Copeland Islands. You can also see and hear many seabirds, everything from little Dunlins to larger Curlew and Cormorants drying their wings on the rocks. If your lucky you may even see a Seal sunning itself here.

Let us know what you think.
