If ‘n your tired of the city life and ya’ need to get
away, then come on up in the holler, we got a place to stay. There
ain’t no busy city streets, no flashing lights or horns, just
pines and oaks and hickory trees and maybe some liquid corn. Our
beds are always comfy, the rooms are always clean, and the view
from the front porch is the best you ever seen. So if your
feelin’ ancy and don’t mind the down home smell , then
come on out and sit a spell at the So
Here at the Sodie-dope Motel we are dedicated to making your Travel
Bug’s stay with us as pleasant as possible. That’s why
we have special amenities such as three different room sizes to
accommodate a wide range of Travel Bugs. From the small ones who
are used to eating toast and jam for breakfast to the ones who like
the extra helping of biscuits and gravy, there all welcome here. We
don’t mean to brag but if your TB starts smellin’ a
little gamey , we also have a creek within walkin’ distance
so they can mosey on down and take bath if the notion hits
em‘. We have lots of entertainment, such as shuckin’
corn with granny or sittin’ on the porch while drinkin’
a good cold sodie- dope and listenin’ to the hounds tree a
possum. What ever they do to pass the time, they can be assured a
good nights rest cause as soon as the chickens stop peckin’
the ground and head to the hen house, we lock the motel door with a
state of the art security system that we built ourselves using
pieces from the youngin’s broke toys, one of granny’s
old bread pans, and some good old fashion ingenuity . We look
forward to serving you the next time your up this way, and if you
don‘t feel like stayin‘ with us, at least stop by and
say howdy. It’s the neighborly thing to do. You are looking
for a very large container that has been camoed to match it’s
surroundings as much as possible and hidden on private property
with the permission of the property owner who is also a geocacher,
so if you see anyone, chances are they already know what your there
for and are glad to see you. Even with all the camo this should be
an easy find and by now I’m sure you know that this is a TB
motel, but unlike most motel owners I don’t ask that you
leave one in order to take one. If you want to take one, then
please do and if you want to leave one that will be fine also.
There is also some swag in it for those who would like to trade.
All I ask is for you to sign the log book, log any trackable you
take and have fun. Oh and please don’t tear it up, if you
