Ball Road is a discontinued road, and is one of the oldest roads in Townsend.
Ball Road is an old, unpaved road off of Warner Road that the town discontinued maintenance on some number of years ago. It is still in surprisingly good condition for such an old unmaintained road. The map is labelled wrong...Warner Road will lead you to Ball Road - not the other way around.
You can hike in pretty easily, or you can be adventurous and take your 4wd GPS transporter down the road - but it had better be 4wd, and it better have pretty good ground clearance; either way be prepared for mud, water, bugs, and other woodsy type things.
Pay attention to the 'No Trespassing" signs, but be aware the property lines run behind the stone walls - not at the edge of the road. You will not be trespassing as long as you do not cross over the walls, and there is no need to cross over the walls for this cache.
The road is passable from end to end, even though it looks like you end up in someone's back yard if you go all the way through to where it meets up with North End Road.
