This caches is placed close to Mangakino pack track shelter & is another introduction to our back yard!
This cache can be attacked from many directions, If you are looking for a good tramp with many great views (on a fine day) one can,as we do start from Te Aroha Domain & take the summit track to Mt Te Aroha, at summit take the Dog Kennel flat track & continue on down the Tui saddle track, At the saddle take the Mangakino pack track witch will lead you to the shelter (just 60m off main track), Sounds tricky but its not! all Tracks are well marked and well signed. Alternative routes include walking up Tui Rd on to Tui Saddle track, Via Dalys Hut, from Karangahake / dickys flat, Or Whaitawheta via Waipapa track.This is a substantial walk and requires more than a Tee shirt an sneakers! Times will vary hugely Would allow six hours return with site seeing and lunch stop, this is a generous time for the fit! G.P.S reception not flash at shelter But GZ should be easy to find with clue! Cache is a one litre plastic container inside a black plastic bag with normal treasures, please rehide well
