This building is now the Plainview Community Center (and also the Volunteer Fire Department). Years ago it used to be the only school for this small community.
This cache was inspired by deputydog210's Trail Tree cache when I realized that I knew where there was another tree that looked just like it. Trail trees were used by the Native Americans to point the way to places of importance.. trails, water, campsites etc. There are not many of these trees left, as most of them are old and gray at this point. This tree is located in the parking lot of the Plainview Community Center and volunteer Fire Department.
Most of the time this place is deserted. If there is an event going on, best to come back another time.
