Geocache Description:


This cache is near the trail through Graduation Canyon. You can access the trail from either the end of Pine Street (closest to the cache) or from East Park. The canyon was the site of the graduation ceremonies for the Los Alamos Ranch School. The boys would ride their horses to the end of the canyon and the commencement speaker would talk from a rock overlooking the point at which the canyon joined Pueblo Canyon. When the spectacular vista unfolds below you as you walk down the trail it is easy to understand why this place was accorded the honor. The canyon is well-watered by Los Alamos standards and supports a great variety of plant and animal life. There is an interesting human artifact near the cache.
