Greyhole cache Traditional Geocache
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
Beautiful and interesting cache location, close to the entrance of a cave with dramatic landscape around it. The size makes it suitable as a resting place for travel bugs.
The cache is located close to the entrance of the "Gråhålet" cave, from which the cache got its name (Gråhålet is literally Greyhole in Swedish). The cache is not hidden in the cave itself, so there is no need to be extremely adventurous.
Please be careful if you intend to enter the cave. Use your common sense about entering, the entrance is narrow and you may get stuck. Make sure not to be alone, and leave messages where to be looked after if you go missing! Lights are needed!
The cave is described in literature as a three roomed cave, where the first room can fit ten man, with enough room for several standing persons.
The view is beautiful from the cache. There is a path and even signs to the cave, but beware of slippery stones along the path. Parking of cars can be done in the old sandpit (not the new one - you will notice the difference), but the nearest road is also a nice road for any cycle that thrive on gravel roads.
Travel bugs will like this location due to the peaceful atmosphere... It is simply a good place to rest for a while!
