Across from our beloved distillery of Laphroaig, we decided to place that cache on an uninhabited island.
The main difficulty might be to get to the island. There is a small concrete pad serving as a pier at the NW side of the island. We used a kayak to paddle over there from Port Ellen beach. This should be done only under good weather conditions ! Otherwise, it may be possible to hire a boat in the harbour.
Enjoy the magnificent view over the Islay distillery and have a walk around that abandoned island !
The cache is an small old mug, located in the eastern corner of the open excavation / wall remainders outside of the old chapel behind an obvious stone plate. No need to interfere with the old chapel nor dismantling any parts of the walls !
