Geocache Description:

A park situated off Meadow lane Long Eaton close to the River Trent. Suitable for buggies etc.

An unusual micro cache you will need to bring a pen as the cache only has room for log, a good flick of the wrist should shake the log free.

Parking is at the entrance to Trent Meadows on Meadow lane Long Eaton.

Trent Meadows is reclaimed land that used to be a refuse tip, it is now planted with trees etc. There is a small enclosed play area for children, that has swings and climbing frame. There is also a ramp for BMX bikers.

The area is very popular with dog walkers and there are some nice walks along the ponds that used to be gravel pits. Views can be seen over the river Trent towards Barton in Fabis. The foot bridge shown on Ordnance survey map over to the River Trent is now closed and is in a state of disrepair.

At the bottom of Meadow lane there is a Windsurfing club and it is fun to watch them surfing on a windy day.

Note! The footbridge is now rebuilt and there is access to the river Trent for some nice circular walks.
