Part of the "Dagmar Dane" series. Dagmar, MT, founded in 1906, was settled by Danish immigrants and is still steeped in its Scandinavian heritage. Enjoy learning a little about its history!
Officially organized on March 15, 1910, the name was originally Polarstjernen Lodge 283 af Det Danske Brodersamfune. It aided its members in becoming citizens of America and allowed for community gatherings, which was a welcome diversion in this harsh land. The lodge sponsored several annual celebrations, one of which was the recognition of Constitution Day in Denmark. Lodge members still meet once a month.
