Marky & Joani placed a cache here in 2003 (GCH7JX). It was active until a few months ago.
Though I'd passed the site many times, I never stopped for a closer look until I saw Marky & Joani's cache online - and that's a shame. This site is too perfect - just the right sort of nearby, curious, obvious, and yet obscure location - to not have a cache.
So, I've placed a small container back by this unusual plaque. There's only room for a log, so bring a writing implement.
The Feed and Fuel is gone now, but you can park on Almaden Expressway just past Almaden Road and walk from there. The cache is near where the fence ends. Wear shoes you don't mind getting dirty (or muddy during the rainy season).
