Located behind a small church, overlooking the Peljeski Kanal, reached by a well maintained footpath and with fabulous views
This small church, called Gospa Lunciata, boasts fabulous and peaceful views over the Peljsac canal and Korcula island. It is easily reached via a well marked and well maintained footpath from the larger Church and graveyard by the upper road above Viganj and Kuciste. The new church is at N42 59.008 E17 06.625 and the path gooes up the east side.
The name "Captain's View" comes from the many Captains' houses built along the road through Kuciste and Viganj.
Enjoy the views. The view up the channel towards Dubvronik and out over Mljet is stunning on a clear day, and sunsets over the western end of the channel never disappoint.
If you are going from Viganj, there is a lovely path from the (old) upper village from N42 59.051 E17 06.251.
