Geocache Description:

This cache hunt takes you on a walk in the forests bordering the North River, where a thriving shipbuilding industry existing from the late 1600s through the 1800s.
The destination is Bald Hill Yards, one of the numerous colonial era boatyards. There are no remains of the original structures.

The walk begins at Stetson Meadows in Norwell MA. After a short stroll through the fields, heading towards the marsh, a marked trail to the right enters the woods along the banks of the river. The traffic noise from Route 3 will accompany the journey. You can almost imagine that it's the sound of breaking surf just over the hill, but the occasional motorcycle ruins the illusion.

At some point, the trail splits into a loop. Take either path; both lead to the cache.
