This small lok-n-lok cache is placed in celebration of cheech gang's 300th DNF!!!
What better place to put the cache than the exact site of our FIRST DNF. This is where it all started.
We log all our DNF's. At least now we do. Our first recorded DNF was on Jun 11, 2004. However a month earlier we had our first actual DNF at Greenback Cache #5 (GCA60A) by Greenback. Greenback is still an active cacher, although not locally.
At the time we had only been caching for 2 weeks and did not realize you were supposed to log DNF's. As it turns out the DNF was valid, the cache was archived a couple of weeks later.
Don't forget that GPS accuracy 5 years ago may not have been what it is today, but you should still be OK. FTF prize, what else, a new greenback.
