Each year on the 4th of July, Moses Lake celebrates Independents day with its fireworks show.
This is the location where those crazy pyrotechnicians light up the night sky, and half the grass field too!
If you look to the left of the field you will see the large sand pile. This is where they set up the mortar tubes that are used to launch the shells into the sky.
A few days before the 4th of July the Moses Lake Fire department will deliberately start a controlled burn in the field to help them prevent any uncontrolled fire from accidentally starting from the fireworks.
I certainty appreciate all the hard work and time spent making a safe and spectacular fireworks show for every one to enjoy on our Independence day. All this work for 20 minutes! A very big Thank You to Moses lake Fire department for keeping us safe, and a big Thank You to all the Pyrotechnician's that paint the night sky in color and sound!
