Geocache Description:

The location is locally called The Wasteground, but has recently ( 2 years ago) been adopted by the local council and called a nature reserve which involves them cutting 2 circular walk paths through the grounds. Its a lovely walk with the butterflies flying over the centre path in summer and the nice river walk on the far side.

The cache is a 0.5l container within a camo bag. It will be starting life with extras within the camo bag. There are many things within this cache, keyrings, torch, kite, to name a few as well as a notebook, pencil and pencil sharpener.

Please make sure the cache is completley covered up as this area is frequented by kids/teenagers as well as dog walkers so please take care, just remember "MUGGLE'S " please stay alert!!!

This place is the idea of my daughter minitext who is very excited with this cache and will welcome anyone who is genuine and has good swaps/exchanges.

The site use to be many years ago the local rubbish dump, before turning into a farm and then in the seventies the Belmont Park housing estate built to the west of the site. A bomb hit the site in the war which makes it bad for metal detecting and if you look carefully around the wasteground you will see parts of old farming machinery thats rusted and old iron fences that too has rusted.

up near 51.592103, -1.425731 the old walk through (before it became blocked off) you will see a brick embankment this use to be the crossing for the Wantage tramway from the station in Mill Street out onto Grove Road.

Best place to park will be Thornhill Close on the Belmont Park Estate,
The site is where we walk our dog, thus the name, near the catch is a nice river walk (see if you can see the ducks), through the centre (you will find the path along the walk) is a cut through which takes you through lots of butterflies on a good day). You can get a buggy around the location, but might find the centre path hard, certainly nothing to climb over and overall a great walk, you might even see us walking our dog.

Since my cache is not far from my house, any tb's or gc's I've picked up that I cant move on in short time will be placed here for others to keep moving. If you have any tb's that need dropping off or want to pick some up then feel free to use this site.

PLEASE BEWARE OF MUGGLES, this spot was chosen so you can see up and down the track, it would be an idea to take a bag with you so if anyone comes along you can look like you are getting a drink out. Please also ensure the cache is placed back in its hide properly, this will ensure that it doesnt get muggled.

Again HIGH LEVEL OF MUGGLES IN THIS AREA if you have not already read this in the first paragraph.
