Swamp Thing Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Paul_D_K: I never like to archive a cache, but over the years I’ve noticed the water level fluctuates so much it’s hard to have anything last very long.

Geocache Description:

You are looking for a four latch container. I set the terrain at 4 because you will probably need a kayak or canoe to retrieve this one. I say probably because there is always a possibility that some one will figure out how to retrieve it by land.

I hid this one out on the Smith and Bybee Wetlands Natural Area. Its actually at the entrance to Bybee lake, but you’ll have to put in at Smith Lake. I listed the coordinates where we launched from.

My wife wanted to go kayaking and I wanted to go geocaching. I found a cache that we needed to get by boat and this was the place. Smith and Bybee lakes are kinda like the place where the Swamp Thing came from. It’s a nice place for a row and to watch birds, fish, beaver, etc. Heres a web site to get info at, (visit link) .

There’s at least one other cache on this lake so make an afternoon of it do some paddling in a neat place and grab a couple of caches. Don’t forget your camera as there will be lots of picture opportunities.
