Short but steep climb to the top of the mountain with fantastic
views from the top (well if you can see over the bush in some
directions).
Posting of your time is optional but I suggest starting from the
Harambee Road End if you want to post a good time.
The Kauri Mountian road end is a more enjoyable walk but quite a
bit longer.
Harambee Road End
Park at the gate (S35 45.513 E174
32.845) and walk (Run, Skip, Crawl - whichever is prefered)
up the road.
Sign Suggests 30 Minute to Summit, Please note that the last 1km of
the Harambee Road is private land so no vehicles past the gate.
Kauri Mountain End
Park at (S 35 46.459 E 174 32.262)
and walk (Run, Skip, Crawl - whichever is prefered) up the
Track
Sign Suggests 50 Minutes to Summit

This track forms part of the Te Araroa Walkway.
