Kinsmen Park in Happy Valley - Goose Bay
Welcome to the 5th Annual Lake Melville Community Cache Event organized by Mr. Popcorn & Volanges. The site is special to us because the ruffian crew of the intrepid PiRat Corsair once had a cache here called "The Coin Hexchange" that was plundered by pirates unknown and had to be archived.
A nice sheltered area for a BBQ and refreshments. Area is prone to mosquitoes though so you may want to bring some fly dope. There will be BBQs available, both gas and charcoal so you can cook to your hearts content. Condiments and plastic cutlery will be provided as well as hotdogs and buns for the younger cachers in the crowd.
The event will run from 2-8PM. There will be the usual cache barrel of goodies to replenish or start your own cache. If anyone has some new ideas for cache containers, log books, loot/swag, etc., please bring some samples for show and tell. After the summer's travels, I am sure there will be lots of TBs and Geocoins to exchange and/or discover.
Please let us know if you plan to attend so we can be prepared for the (hopefully) large gathering.
