Beklemeto Nice View Traditional Cache

The cache is located close to the main road Troyan - Karnare. Near the highest point of the pass (you are coming from Karnare) there is an area close to the road where you can park your car. Go down the hill (~200 meters) to a rock (I call it Nice View) where you can see very nice panorama (if the weather is good). The cache is hidden not more than 30 meters from that area.
The terrain is steep, but no special equipment needed. Not suitable for children under 12 years. Muggles are not likely.
The Troyan - Karnare pass is very nice road, connecting north and south of Bulgaria. In fact that road is one of the few main roads going through the "Stara Planina" mountain (The Balkan). The highest point of that pass has an altitude of 1565 meters above the sea level. Also at the highest point there is an old monument (N42º46.616' E024º36.877') called "The Freedom Arc" which was built to celebrate the liberation of Bulgaria from the Otoman yoke which happened in 1878 with the help of the Russians.
I can highly recommend visiting that monument and hike around that area (if the weather is nice). The view of the surrounding mountains and pastures is really very nice. In fact the mountain divides Bulgaria into north and south parts, and once in march I was able to see from the top of the mountain that in south everything was dry, sunny and becoming green, while in north everything was still covered with snow.
If you are coming from Troyan shortly after you pass the highest point, at the right side of the road there is an area where you can stop your car (N42º45.986' E024º36.714') and make some nice pictures. From that area you can see down the hill remains from the foundation of a house, and a little further an area which I call "nice view" which is around 200-300 meters from the car park. If you dare to go down there, the cache is waiting for you no more than 30 meters away.

The Troyan pass is closed during the winter. Usually from october-november until february-march. The weather is cold up there even during the summer. The best time to go there is june-september.
