Geocache Description:

No one lives in the home but it does serve as an office. You do have owners permission to hunt.

This is the first cache in a series dedicated to some of the most influential Cajun musicians who are natives of Acadia Parish. The first musician to be honored in this series is Harry Choates originally from Rayne Louisiana. Harry moved to Port Arthur Texas in the 1930's and by the age of 12, with little formal education, joined his first band playing with Leo Soileau and Leroy Leblanc. Harry went on to form his own band "The Melody Boys" and in 1946 he recorded his most notable work "Jolie Blon". The song of a breakup with a beautiful blonde Cajun girl remains a regular selection of Cajun bands. Harry died in 1951.

There are different items in the container and 1 very special gift for TFTF. Hope all of you enjoy the hunt. Thankyou for visiting Rayne Louisiana.

Peace
