Red Tail #2 Traditional Cache

This cache is along the North Country Trail in the middle of the Bowman Lake Park Area in the Manistee National Forest.
The trail is rather easy going there is parking on the north and south side of the park. Keep an eye out for bears and cougar. ;)

This Cache is in the middle of the Bowman Lake Park area five minutes West of Baldwin, MI. You would do well to stop at the ranger station right on the main street in Baldwin for a map of the park if you are unfamiliar with the area. The map shows the park trails and would be very helpful for this cache. The trails are well worn and well marked, however the cache is about a mile and a half in from either parking area, so this is NOT a drive up and grab sort of deal. However, this is not one to miss as the walk through the woods is about as good as it gets for the lower penisula.
Be sure to bring your camera and mushroom field guide as there are many types to see. Be carefull out there and have a great hike!!!
