Geocache Description:

A lovely 2 mile walk through Hampshire countryside in Selborne. Some stiles and gates and muddy woodland to negotiate.

Streaming Along was hidden in 2004 by Roaura, who kindly gave me permission to recreate it when it was archived. I have had to change part four and the final hiding place, but it's mostly as it was, including the description. The original cache page can be seen here: GCJYKT - Streaming Along

GC9112 - Gilbert's Cache and GCQ469 - JC's Stash Cache both use the same car park, so you can find them as well while you're in the vicinity. The final stage of this cache will take you close to GC1TRC5 - Church Micro 560 so you could pick that up on the way out or back as well!

The listed co-ordinates will direct you to both the suggested parking behind the Selborne Arms and your first clue to solve at part one! Solve the remaining clues to find the final resting place of the cache - the total walking distance is about 2 miles so you'll need to allow between 1 and 2 hours.

Please keep to the footpaths as much of your journey will be on National Trust land. Cattle may be grazing in the meadows so please walk slowly and treat the animals with respect, cows can be very inquisitive! Parts of the walk can be very muddy after rain and the track is not very suitable for pushchairs as there are a number of stiles and gates to negotiate.

Part One (Listed Co-ordinates): N 51° 05.763 W 000° 56.500
So much to see and so much to do, (take this chance to pop to the loo!).
A special license they did need, to show this map for all to read.
HCC License No. = LAabcdef

Part Two: N 51° 05.845 W 000° 56.581
If you still think that it is better, to sit down and write a letter,
You may need to use this too, so head there now for the next clue.
Fax No. = 0845 ghijklm

Part Three: N 51° 05.860 W 000° 56.602
No time to stop on the way down but get your pen and note this down.
This place you read is a charity, it’s number starting with a three.
Charity No. = nopqrs

Recent logs suggest the sign for part three has changed - the charity number you need is 307098

Part Four: N 51° 05.890 W 000° 56.585
(The original clue for this part is long gone, so apologies for the poetry for this one!)
Selborne Priory was built near here, but we need to know within which year?
Disrepute? My my! Oh no! In which year did the Priory go?
Established = tu33
Dissolved = vw86

Part Five: N 51° 05.920 W 000° 56.566
You have been past where once did live, this very famous naturalist.
Where is he now we need to know, to find his age when he did go.
Age = xy

Part Six: N 51° 05.918 W 000° 56.497
It’s nearly time to say GO, just one more thing for you to know.
On your trip there’s much you’ll see, how many plants pictured could there be?
No. of plants - 8 = z

Recent logs suggest the information for part six is missing - the number of plants was 10

GC1TRC5 - Church Micro 560 is very close by, you could pick this up now or on your way back past!

Part Seven: If you look around, a bench you’ll find, where you can start to use your mind.
To work out where you now must dash, to find the treasure within the cache.
