Paint the Town II
Paint the Town II cache is placed in an oasis at the end of the
Magnificent Mile!
This is a beautiful triangle shaped park nestled between the tall
buildings and Lake Michigan. On Sunday mornings neighbors walk
their dogs and visit in the calm of the city. During the week this
place is hustling and bustling with people walking from here to
there and sitting down outside to have lunch!
Directly to the west is a Chicago Landmark ~ The Drake Hotel.
Enjoy the buzz of the city and the calm of sitting in the shade and
taking a break.
This area was planted and designed in memory of a Chicagoan who
cared greatly about the city. Stop and read the plaque under the
gazebo. Is your GPS having a hard time locking in the coordinates?
Or maybe the listed coordinates just aren't matching up with your
GPS.
Here is a little help: Stand right in front of the plaque under the
Gazebo. Use your compass or "Sight & Go" feature on your GPS
(this worked great for me). Turn until you are at 125°. Walk 41'.
That should put you at the cache!
*Please note! This is the big city of
Chicago and if a muggle happens to see where the container is
hidden he/she may take it. Please make sure no one is watching when
