The low health score on this cache has remained below 60 since our last contact. I see no sign of any maintenance being done to correct this and I have had no response from the owner since my last contact. Due to the lack of response I have no idea if any corrective action has been taken. Consequently I am archiving the cache at this time. Under directions from HQ, if the cache was archived for maintenance issues, it will not be unarchived. If you wish to replace it you will have to do so with a new listing.

Geocache Description:

This is a traditional kid friendly cache! A FTF certificate to the first person who emails us first! Come trade!

Komarno is a small town located in the cental Interlake. It has largely been based on the farming economy. It had many of the amenties like a school, stores, garages, and churches until the population of the town reduced to the point some of these amenties were forced to close. One of these things that closed down is the school. It is a pretty town located just off of Hwy 7 between Teulon and Fraserwood. It like many Interlake towns have little park with something that symbolizes something that is common for the area. Nearby Petersfield has the mallard statue, Gimli has the Viking statue, and Teulon has a small castle. Komarno has one also! In your journey, try to find the answers to the following questions: 1.What statue does Komarno have in its park? 2.What does Komarno mean in Ukrainian? As you ponder on these questions, stop at the local store and pick up a drink or ice cream and ask about the town!
