This was originally going to be the final in a cache series celebrating Inuvik's 50th Anniversary. Unfortunately, time and, well - time got in the way and we never got around to posting it.
The cache is an ammo box, and the FTF prize is GREAT!
Living here, we don't get a lot of FTF's, so when we place a cache, we want to make it worthwhile.
Maps - even the printed ones - are out of kilter within the town of Inuvik. Once you get down the Dempster Highway, you actually end up back on the road, but otherwise, you are about 100 meters out.
(Yes - this has been reported to the topo guys, but we don't have the luxury of having maps redone very often.)
After getting the cache, be sure to stop and raise a pint to our troops - just don't wear your hat!
