Congratulations to Palsalog who scored the FTF gift card for Burger King. Plus, he was the first to make a swap in this unique container which lends itself nicely to a novel trading idea. BYOP.
In my line of work, I occasionally get gift cards from students or parents. I enjoy gift cards; coffee shops are always a popular choice, music stores are nice, electronic stores are great too.
After a while, I find my wallet is full of partially-spent gift cards, each having a little more than a dollar or two remaining balance. Sure, I could use these towards future purchases, but why not use them as tradables in a geocache?
I'm starting this cache with a few active gift cards with a small balance on them. If you have a gift card with a dollar or two remaining on it, trade it in at this cache! Bear in mind, you will trade for a card that has a higher or lower balance than the card you're leaving behind. You may end up ahead or behind after your trade, but the real victory is in finding the cache. Right?
Please don't take without giving. Trade only gift cards with small balances. Thanks!
April 2010 update: PLEASE DON'T TAKE A GIFT CARD WITHOUT LEAVING A GIFT CARD (NOT your geocaching card, and NOT a coupon with an expiry date). If everyone who visits this cache follows the theme of the cache, it will be fun for everyone. It's a small container, so please don't leave your identification cards. Thanks!
August 2011 update: Looks like the trading part of this cache is over - some finders have taken cards without trading anything and the gift cards are all gone.
