and bring you into the rock locality in“ Rajec Valley“
near Zilina. Rocks forming the Triassic limestone and dolomite
„Choc cap“. In the past, the area has been shared into
3 parts.“ Porubka rocks, Polúvsie rocks and rocks over
Rajecke Teplice“. Along the eastern slope of rocks near river
„Rajcianka“ is tourist Nature trail leasing you
to“ Rajecké Teplice – Porúbka“
Porúbka is the most popular climbing site in Northern Slovakia
(besides Sulov and Manin), especially for climbers from Žilina
and near localities . The area offers a wide range of different
routes of difficulties. There are many roads in the 4 to 6 level of
difficulty which will be appreciated by beginners , but even
experienced climbers will not bored by. Most roads are sports, well
secured with length of up to 20 m, but can be found also 2-length
paths (approx 50 m). Difficulties of various routes, you will find
written in red color on the rock at the point where they do
start.
Near locality of rocks is formed by beech-pine forest, where you
can meet with the ticks and other blood loving insects!
Cache: park your geocars on these coordinates and follow the
educational trail concurrently with the main road in the direction
of Žilina. Once you get below 250 m of lower Slnecné rocks.
Than go only along of climbing pavements outside educational path
(keep the picture direction). Go back to 10 m and then take right
up to the middle of“ Slnecné rocks“. Record the
difficulty of climbing road, the first road to the right hand side
of road Bujacka = A. Next, go left up the lokality“
Hrádek“. There you record difficulty of „Nebeská“
road near the „Srpovka“ tower = B. Continue up the path
to the tower rocks of „Panicka“ and „
Cigánka“. On one of them is the road“
Parketovka“, record its difficulty = C. Final is on the spot,
which can be reached without climbing gear, however, caution will
be never enough! Especially be careful to slip during rain and
during winter!
