As of September 8, 2010: Now a decon under rocks.
The Calavera Hills Trail System is great. It covers lots of territory and there are numerous routes to enjoy. Obviously MTBers use it a lot, but it’s also great for hiking. The terrain is varied and so is the vegetation. I set several caches today starting from the Overlook at GCTJWQ. The route I followed is about a 5 mile loop with the toughest elevation change the last .25 miles of the return.
Restricted access signs are ambiguous in this area, but I think all of the caches are set on the good side of the signs.
This brightly colored container can be seen for miles. It is hidden under rocks at the base of rocks. Please make sure it is well covered when you replace it. Thanks.
It has a log and a FTF Coin.
Have fun!
