High muggle area, but hidden from passing traffic. "Freedom is not Free" memorial is 90 paces northeast of cache.
Placed in memory of USN LCdr David Scott Greiling shot down over North Vietnam in 1968. I wore the bracelet of Cdr Greiling for many years until it finally broke. Since, I have often wondered his status. As the years passed, all I could remember was LCdr David G and his hometown -- Hillsdale, MI. A few nights before I placed this cache, I found his fate via the internet. He was declared "Died while Captured" in 1973. His body was never recovered. Lost by not forgotten.
