Geocache Description:

This is inside Richardson Grove State Park, 9 miles south of Garberville CA. Rangers will give out a free vistor pass to the visitor center. The Cache is a 5 to 10 minute walk from the visitor center by way of the redwood exhibit trail. During this hike you will walk under a fallen tree. The location is a stones throw from Hwy 101 and overlooks the Eel River. Cache may be in the home of a small animal. (don't worry)

This location use to be the Richardson Grove's fourth camp ground before it was closed in the 1970's. Who can tell me the name of this long forgotten camp ground?

PLEASE remember to cover up and rehide the cache after finding.

NOTE: July 4, 2015 - Cache was once again replaced. Unfortunately sometimes people don't hide this cache properly and when it's left exposed to people walking by, it gets stolen. Because this area is close to HWY 101, at times, homeless types campout for free while staying hidden from State Park Rangers. I believe it's these people that keep taking it. Lot's of garbage left behind as proof.
