с.Ковачевица е разположено до р.Канина (кървавата река) и било основано от група богати хора, които избягали от Велико Търново по време на турското робство. Те плащали годишен данък на турците, за да може селото да остане непокътнато.
Сградите в селото датират от XVIIIв.
Има занаятчийско училище и полу-вкопана в земята църква (според тогавашните турски изисквания).
Наблизо има и стара църква, която е била разрушена, а после възстановена. В момента тя е в занемарено състояние.
От селото има туристически маршрути до близките забележителности.
Кешът е поставен до водопада, който се намира на 30 мин. пеша от селото.
The village of Kovachevitsa is situated by the river of Kanina (the bloody river) and was founded by a group of rich people that ran away from Veliko Tarnovo (Bulgaria's former capital) during the turkish slavory. The people payed annual tax to the turks so the village could be intact.
The buildings in the village are from XVIII century.
The village has a craftsman's school and a half-dug in the ground church (according to turks' requirements of that time).
There's also an old church nearby the village that was torn down once and rebuilt again. Nowadays it's in neglected condition. Several tourist paths start from Kovachevitsa to the nearby villages and landmarks.
The cache is placed by the waterfall, half an hour away from the village.
