[DA] På Brande Museum er der mulighed for at få indblik i, hvordan
et typisk bonde-samfund fungerede i "gamle dage". Her findes rokke
og andre redskaber til den tekstil-husflid, der supplerede de små
landbrugs indtægter.
Samtidigt har Brande Museum en meget fin samling af
klædningsstykker fra egnen, gamle redskaber og flinteøkser fra
stenalderkulturer ved Skjern Å.
Ligeledes rummer Brande Museum en interessant våbensamling samt en
unik møntsamling med mønter tilbage til Harald Blåtands tid.
Museet har åbent tirsdage kl. 14:30 - 16:30 Åbning af museet udover
de normale åbningstider kan arrangeres. Henvendelse kan ske til
Brande Turistbureau.
[ENG] At Brande Museum there is an opportunity to see how a typical
farmer house, from earlier times, worked. There is spinning wheels
and other tools to the textile handicraft, that made a suppliment
to the little farmers income.
At the same time Brande Museum has a very fine collection of
garments from this district, old tools and flint axes from the
Stone Age by Skjern Stream.
Likewise Brande Museum has an interesting weapon collection and a
unique collection of coins dating to the reign of Harald
'Bluetooth'.
The museum is open tuesdays 14:30 - 16:30 NB Opening outside the
normal opening hours can be arranged. All enquiry can be directed
to Brande Tourist office.
