Geocache Description:

My favorite movie is Highlander. In this movie, Connor Macleod (Christopher Lambert) is born in the 1500s in the highlands of Scotland. In his first battle along side his clansmen, he suffers a fatal stab womb. However, after he has seemingly passed, he remarkably awakes and is fully healed from his womb. Seen as the work of the devil, he and his bride are outcasted from the clan. After being banished, he is confronted by Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobos Ramirez (Sean Connery) and told about the nature of his immortality. Ramirez trains Macleod about the rules that they must live and die by. Four important rules are explained. First, they must duel with other immortals until only one remains. "In the end, there can be only one." The remaining immortal is left to claim the "Prize". Secondly, they can only lose the duel by losing their heads. The winning immortal receives the essence of the loser. Third, no one, mortal or immortal, can interfer in the duel. And finally, Holy Ground is sacred and duels should not occur there. In honor of this movie, I have started this series of Holy Ground caches. This series will place caches in or near areas that are considered Holy Ground.

New Lancaster Cemetery

This cemetery was established in 1845. It is very well maintained. It is also another cemetery that stood in the way of progress and won. The road swings out round the cemetery. Parking is available in the lane that goes through the cemetery. There is also some parking near the shoulder on the east side.

There are a few soldiers that lay rest here from many of the different wars and conflicts that our country has been involved in.

Since this is a cemetary, please remember No Night Caching and be respectful of the grave markers.

Enjoy!
