Take the Tancook Island Ferry from the Gov't Wharf in Chester, Nova Scotia. (Ferry schedule on website plus map of Island). The cache is a 1 1/2 mile walk on dirt roads from the ferry landing.
Access directly from road to cache is on private property. Owner of property has placed the cache and gives you permission to go on site to recover cache. When you retrieve the cache please go back to the road and not along the embankment because you will be trespassing on other's properties. Metal tea tin big enough to hold small trading items. Origionally the tin included small toys for children, a few shells and a FTF (first to find) Tancook Island fossil of a brachiopod. The cache is winter friendly.
