Geocache Description:

Placed on a bridleway in a great forest for walking or biking

A beautiful spot in Lyminge Forest which was part of a circular mountain bike route researched for Kent County Council by ourselves some years ago. It was also a control point for the first ever SE Trailquest (mountain bike orienteering)....oh what fun we had. This area was and still is mountain bike heaven used by some of the first ever UK MTB'ers from the countries first ever surf shop....watch out you may bump into some of them.....or me!!
The name relates to the feeling the pilgrims had on seeing Canterbury Cathedral from here for the first time....still a way to go for them though!
Walk or ride this one, make it a circular route or simply walk from the road, but what ever you do.......enjoy.
