Geocache Description:

This cache is the ninth in a series of the locations of the various bonfire societies in East Sussex, it compliments the series by Brightonian of the Lewes Societies.

South Heighton bonfire is put on by one of the smaller societies, it's usually held on the Saturday after the Lewes celebrations but sometimes the calendar gets crowded and it's held the week before Lewes. There is one main procession around the village with a stop at the pub, then it's off to the firesite where there is a bonfire and firework display.

South Heighton is one of the most family friendly nights as it is held early and is pretty much all done by 9pm.

If you're a real fan there is actually time to go and see the fireworks at East Hoathly afterwards :)

You will need to take a pen or pencil with you.

Enjoy the cache, the next in the series is East Hoathly.
